What is Partner Commercials tooling?
Partner Commercials captures the lifecycle of a Partner’s contractual relationship with Netflix, specifically including commercial terms and revenue share attribution.

What did we do?
This research aims to highlight the current experience of the primary stakeholders of COMET during the partner lifecycle, gathers insights on their JTBD and tooling used during each stage of the partner lifecycle, capture pain-points and opportunities to improve their experience.
How did we conduct this study?
We conducted 7 Moderated focus group sessions via Google Meets. The final output of this research being modifications to our partner-focused archetype and additional user personas.

We choose to involve the entire lifecycle to get a big picture into the roles entire experience and where the contract pieces ties into the bigger picture as well as benefit upcoming journey mapping work.

To add onto our previous foundational work, we added 5 more personas to our family under the umbrella of the persona-focused archetype.
High Level Pain-points
Even prior to these formalized research sessions, our internal teams were already discussing issues with contract creation. identified which personas brought up and validated these findings. TO build on this work and kind of validate those findings.

Final Thoughts
#1 The following key stakeholders are all looking for improved visibility will help downstream partners to identify red flags or factors that need to be flagged early on to the partner so that everyone is in alignment.Some recommend having an aggregated view of projects that breaks down into a more comprehensive view of a particular partner.

#2 The key stakeholders value using automation to facilitate the logistics. Automating contract uploading, review and approval, and remind people about the next steps.
